Description

Situated directly on the San Andreas fault, in San Juan Bautista, CA.  One of 21 Spanish Missions in California. It's collapsed many times, including fairly recently in a heavy rainstorm. That's what you get when you make a 60 foot tall building out of mud.  Really though, it's a gorgeous building. It was founded in 1797.  A loooooong time ago.  Inside, they have all these special holes in the walls for their cats to run through.  Serious cat fanciers lived here.

When you go to San Juan Bautista, have lunch at Jardines.  They have the best Mexican cuisine in the world, including Mexico.  And if you don't like Mexican food, the Chateau Grief comic has nothing to do with food.  So there's that.
